Intro(Eng) - Why Do We Dream? | Eastern Dream Interpretation and Energy Flow
Why Do We Keep Having Those Strange Dreams?
Why are we always running, fighting, crying, or losing in our dreams?
And why do we feel so desperate to interpret them?
"Saying 'It's just a dream' is like ignoring a third of your life."
Honestly, dreams are moments where your unconscious mind and the energy of your reality cross paths. It’s spiritual, and kind of fascinating.
π In Eastern philosophy, dreams are about energy flow
Freud called dreams a reflection of suppressed desires. Jung believed they were symbols of the unconscious.
But the East? It’s a bit different.
Here, dreams are also part of your fortune.
They’re mirrors reflecting where your energy — your luck — is heading.
Relying only on Western interpretation won’t cut it. Combine both perspectives, and suddenly things make more sense.
✨ Dreams meant a lot in old Korea
Back in the Joseon era, fortune tellers categorized dreams as auspicious or ominous.
In Buddhism, dreams were tied to karma and past lives.
For monks, dreams revealed the level of spiritual awakening. Ordinary people relied on birth dreams or prophetic dreams to understand life’s direction.
It wasn’t superstition — it was intuitive wisdom connecting nature and human flow.
π Dream interpretation is self-care
Reading a dream isn’t some fortune-teller gimmick.
It’s about honestly looking at yourself right now.
“What was that dream trying to tell me?” “What’s my emotional state? What am I missing?”
If you’re asking yourself that — you’ve already started taking care of yourself through your dreams.
π What you’ll find on this blog
This isn’t one of those blogs that just list dream symbols and call it a day.
Every morning, I’ll share dream insights you actually care about.
The flow of luck, signals from your unconscious, and how to apply it in real life.
You don’t have to believe in this. But hey, if it gives you one solid hint for your life — wouldn’t that be kind of cool?
“Maybe your heart is trying to say something.”
Was it a strange dream? A powerful one? Just nonsense?
That’s your call.
But if interpreting it could shift your path even a little —
Wouldn’t that be worth it?
P.S. This blog is bilingual — in Korean and English.
I’m Korean, so my English might not be perfect.
But you’ll get the idea. Trust me π
